VMS is seeking an AMS-credentialed Toddler teacher to lead a group of up to twelve 2 year olds, with the support of classroom support teachers/aides. This position will be available for the '25-'26 school year, beginning August 2025. This individual should be able to work effectively with their own team, and in tandem with another team of toddler teachers and children to create a positive, warm and peaceful environment.

Applicants must respect children, being patient, affectionate and understanding toward them, practicing the Montessori methodology when interacting with and guiding the children in their care.  Applicants must utilize effective communication skills when interacting with students' parents, school leadership and other staff. Toddler teachers are expected to support up to five evening and/or weekend events each school year. 

Staff at VMS are provided paid Sick & Safe and Personal Time Off, as well as paid holidays, winter and spring breaks, professional days, and emergency weather closure days. Staff receive full scholarship for their child(ren) while enrolled at VMS. Teachers enjoy one hour lunch breaks outside of the classroom as a part of their work day. Up to 12 hours of continuing education are reimbursed yearly.  Enrollment in the school's 401k plan is available after one year of employment; VMS pays all 401k administration fees.  

While a college degree is desirable, it is not a requirement if all other qualifications are met. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
