On Friday, 1/30, Mr. Michael Shwedick and his assistant, Mr. David, brought Reptile World to VMS.  The children and staff alike were amazed by all the beautiful animals, as they learned about these cold-blooded creatures.  Mr. Michael's presentation teaches not only about these animals, but also about respect for all animals and their habitats.  For photos of the presentation, click "Read More"

Wrapping up the Thanksgiving weekend, VMS families were invited to our first Tree Lighting Ceremony.  After a brief introduction and countdown, the lights lights went on as everyone enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate.  Following the ceremony, the families enjoyed a sneak peak and early-bird shopping opportunity at our annual book fair.  In the days following, it was clear the children were delighted by the lights on the tree!

The Holidays are rapidly approaching and each class has chosen their dish to prepare for our school-wide Thanksgiving Feast. From cranberry sauce to pumpkin pie, classes will be preparing each dish in the next week or so.
